Inside an unusual city-centre windmill in Cambridge, UK lies Gutter & Stars urban winery – a very special project started just one year ago by journalist-turned-winemaker Chris Wilson, who joins host David Kermode on this week’s episode of The Drinking Hour.

Wilson uses grapes from Crouch Valley in Essex to make his signature Pinot Noir, Bacchus and Chardonnay wines, which have already drawn critical acclaim – something we’re sure the former critic himself is relieved to have achieved. Design is also a big focus at Gutter & Stars, and each bottle sports a beautifully designed label to boot.

In the latest episode of The Drinking Hour podcast, David Kermode speaks with Wilson to find out more about his Cambridge winery and what plans he has in store next from his windmill base.
