Episode 160 of The Drinking Hour podcast sees David Kermode joined by Robin Kick MW to discuss the plots, signature grapes and styles of the French region famous for its Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The pair talk about how to identify the wines to seek out by following producers, and how the region is experiencing a ‘perfect storm’ of winemaking and excellent fruit that’s creating an all-time high in wine quality.

The duo also chart the intricate history of the négociant in Burgundy, how the region has established itself as the benchmark for terroir-driven Chardonnay and Pinot Noir wines, and, finally, give their advice on where to find good quality, high value Burgundian wine.
