peter michael ma belle fille bottle
White wine

Peter Michael Winery, Ma Belle-Fille 2012

RRP £134

A light to medium yellow-gold in the glass, deepening with age, this wine smells of honey, pineapple and marmalade. Flavours of marmalade, candied lemons and pastry cream lend a satin texture and a very creamy aspect on the palate. A warm vintage provided very ripe grapes but has perhaps left this wine with a softer acidity that has softened further with time, leaving behind a fuller-bodied, more viscous wine. Rich and ripe, and ready to be drunk. Often called a Goldilocks vintage, 2012 was ideal from start to finish, with some heat spikes in September and October that pushed any later-harvested grapes, such as these, towards concentration.
