Instant perfume on the palate; there’s dark fruit to the fore, the tannins are washed with juice throughout, the extraction is well handled – and it’s nicely balanced for 16% alcohol. Evolved but by no means at its peak; a powerful, characterful wine with a fine sour, juicy finish.
