Wonderful dense sweet tarry nose with liqueur cherry notes at the top. Sweet and quite intense, concentrated and generous palate with rich notes of plum, licorice, cedar (which will mellow down to cigar tube over the years), a rush of juice at the end and then a fine, tannic brittleness on the last swallow. Huge finish. Very fine texture for such a punchy wine.
