Bottled in July 2019. “This was a complicated vintage – we had to work a lot but we’re very pleased with the result.”

Bright, ripe nose: powerful red fruit, the concentration balanced between tremendous weight and a lifted quality – it gives a sense of pulling off a tricky dance move. There’s the same equilibrium on the palate – the young, coltish tannins have fine grip but they are finely-honed at the same time. This is where Sisseck’s “extreme balance” comes in. The fruit is all primary – ripe plum and damson, ripe blackberry, sappy and dense.
