Wine photographer of the year 2026: shortlist cover image
An image from inside Toneleria Tevasa, one of the oldest traditional cooperages in Jerez, was taken by Till Britze and shortlisted in the ‘People’ category

The Louis Jadot Wine Photographer of the Year 2026 shortlist has been released, offering striking perspectives on almost every aspect of winemaking around the world. Illustrating the toil that goes into making wine, and offering insights from the lives of workers and the wines themselves, this year’s images come from all corners of the globe, from the Uco Valley in Argentina and Arpa Canyon in Armenia, to Victoria’s Yarra Valley in Australia.

Amongst the images is a dramatic shot taken at a cooperage in Jerez, one that makes the heat and action of the scene palpable and gives a sense of the expertise required to work in such an environment. Taken by Till Britze from the UK at Toneleria Tevasa, it is one of the year’s dramatic photographs in the People category. It’s joined by an array of images that include spectacular landscapes from all seasons, candid shots from inside wineries and aerial perspectives made possible by drone technology.
