Aman New York
New York, USA
The redevelopment of New York’s striking Crown Building (renamed in the ‘80s to better reflect its shiny, regal outward appearance) is in order to create an inner-city sanctuary. The building’s 26 storeys already afford epic views out across Central Park, but to it the Aman Group is adding 38 rooms, a jazz club and a garden terrace and bar – not to mention a three-floor spa filled with day beds and fire pits. It looks set to be a prime location for unwinding after you’ve explored an unforgettable cocktail scene in the city that never sleeps.
