Laura Richards started out in journalism at pregnancy and parenting publication Prima Baby, before a drastic change of direction and pace, documenting the bar, club and restaurant scene in London – first at the now-defunct website View London, then at Time Out London. She began her journey at the going out guide as a Digital Content Producer, before eventually taking on the role of Drink Editor.

In 2017, Laura published her first book ‘111 London Pubs & Bars that you Shouldn’t Miss’, now in its third edition.

Alongside her bar-hopping duties, she became Digital Director for Time Out at the start of 2020 – just as a global pandemic hit and everything went from ‘Out’ to ‘In’. Now, she’s enjoying a slightly more considered approach to wine and spirits, currently studying for her WSET Level 3. But don’t worry, you can still find her at the bar after class.
