A difficult year here as in most Aussie wine regions: summer was wet and cold with botrytis in the vineyards. Maybe that is why this is a vintage where the character of the terroir is very apparent: there’s an aroma of wet slate and a lot of minerality and lightly bitter citrus, if with a touch of sweetness at the end that feels like a reward, like sunlight after a downpour.
