Like the 2009 Cask 23 this is closed and compact but full of restrained verve. It’s going to be amazing – it’s full and dense, with concentrated black fruit, the lovely floral perfume of Stag’s Leap District,  and incredibly fresh young tannins balanced with excellent acidity. I should think it will last to mid-century.
