Sweet blackcurrant jam on the nose, the flavours filling the room as it opens in the glass, with herbal notes coming through at the end. Wonderfully fresh on the palate, precise powdery tannins running cleanly through generous dark fruit, and a satisfyingly serious animal top-note across an iron-inflected seam of slate. A masterful wine, with tension throughout.
