San Lorenzo
Red wine

Gaja, Sorì San Lorenzo, Barbaresco 1993

Bright, light cherry colour with orange rim. The nose is open, with notes of dry cherry, cigar box, potpourri, cured meat and violets. Good complexity – medium-bodied with decent balance; there’s a slight bitterness, but also a nice freshness and well-integrated tannins. Possibly past its peak but still drinking nicely – a good wine from a poor vintage.
