Lush liquorice and exotic spice on the nose. Jewel-bright. A lovely clean scent of washed linen, and hints of damp earth. Palate is luscious, delicate, smoky, exotic. There’s a perfect balance of acidity and tannin, the latter fresh, soft, clean and with fine length filling the mouth and nose with aromas of blueberry and dark briar fruit. There’s so much understated character to this wine, it has tension and energy, it’s lean, precise and above all delicious. “This is the one I’m having for Christmas”, Sisseck tells us.
