I loved the 2016 – also tasted on this visit – which earns 98 points. But tasted again since April, the 2018 surpasses its elder sibling, exuding vivid ripe red and black berry fruits, sweet roasted red pepper, cool tobacco and crushed mint. Sumptuous, refined, and with an almost endless finish, here is another First Growth level for a “bargain” price.
