With over 38,000 active members, The Whisky Club is the world’s largest community of whisky lovers. Founded in Tasmania in 2014, the club works directly with distilleries across the world to offer innovative, exclusive and irresistible whiskies to members every month. The team who work in the head office are an extension of the member base: whisky fanatics who live whisky and its culture 24/7 and love nothing more than uncovering the hidden gem.
Whether it’s a single cask or a broader expression created exclusively for the club, getting an insight into the people, places and processes is very special. For the team, led by General Manager Seamus Carroll and Whisky Specialist Jonnie Edwards, the joy comes from communicating those stories to members, and then, of course, there’s the really hard part: opening those bottles with them. Whisky is a universal language and they get up close and personal with some of the biggest names and smallest producers from across the world. There are dream jobs and there’s this job.
