Chivas Brothers

Scotland

Across the Speyside region and the windswept islands of Orkney, Chivas Brothers owns and operates 14 distilleries, each with its own distinct character, history and heritage. Strathisla, the historic home of Chivas Regal, is the oldest working distillery in the Scottish Highlands, producing whiskies since 1786. The Glenlivet, voted in 2022 as the World’s Leading Whisky Distillery Tour, remains a favourite among whisky tourists. Aberlour sits in a magical location alongside the River Spey at the base of the Highlands, holding a special place in the hearts of single malt lovers. And Scapa, on Orkney, is one of the last remaining manually operated distilleries. This remarkable network of craft and heritage has earned Chivas Brothers second place in the IWSC Top 50 Producers this year.

As the world’s second-largest Scotch whisky producer, exporting to 150 markets globally, the business and its 1,800-strong team are rooted in communities across Scotland and around the globe. They share a proud history and the ambition to open up and shape the future of whisky. What excites them most is the careful balancing act between respecting and cherishing the past whilst evolving their craft to shape the flavours for tomorrow’s palate. While their brands are deeply rooted in heritage, they’re also forging a new path by marrying innovation, technology and bold thinking.

Each whisky in the Chivas Brothers portfolio reflects a shared commitment to craft, character and innovation. From Chivas Regal and Ballantine’s to Royal Salute and The Glenlivet, every expression captures a distinct story shaped by local people, place and process. They draw on generations of expertise and Scotland’s diverse landscapes to create whiskies with depth and individuality, whilst embracing new techniques to create new flavours. It’s this balance of tradition and forward thinking that defines the Chivas Brothers approach to Scotch and continues to guide how they craft whiskies for today and tomorrow.
