Whiskey-making has been in the Teeling genes since 1782, when Walter Teeling set up a small craft distillery on Marrowbone Lane in the industrial heart of Dublin. In 2012, Jack and Stephen Teeling, the latest generation of Teeling whiskey makers, founded The Teeling Whiskey Company to revive the old family trademark and bring craft distilling back to Dublin. They came full circle in 2015 when they opened the new Teeling Whiskey Distillery just down the road from where the original family distillery once stood, marking the first new distillery in Dublin in over 125 years.
Since its establishment, Teeling has become the most progressive Irish whiskey company, driving innovation and offering a selection of unique handcrafted, small-batch Irish whiskeys guided by Master Distiller and Blender Alex Chasko. The distillery, situated in the Liberties in the heart of the Golden Triangle, Dublin’s historic distilling district, has welcomed over one million visitors since opening. Teeling Whiskey is now exported to more than 80 markets worldwide and has won over 650 international awards for quality. This year, they celebrate a Decade of Dublin Distilling, a significant milestone that highlights their long-term commitment to making great whiskey in the heart of Dublin.

Their whiskeys embody an unconventional spirit, with innovation at the core of everything they do. They experiment with unique mash bills, fermentation and distillation techniques, as well as varying the time, style and number of barrels used during the maturation process, adding to the subtlety and complexity of flavour they pride themselves on. They don’t chill filter their whiskey prior to bottling, leaving as much of the body, character and richness in the bottle as possible. They bring their whiskey from cask strength to their signature ABV of 46%, capturing the true natural character of all Teeling whiskeys.
