Though The Scotch Malt Whisky Society doesn’t operate a distillery, its history of over 40 years has seen it turn from a handful of friends dedicated to the purest whisky the world had to offer into a well-respected, world-spanning whisky club. Today, the society works with a myriad of different distilleries, whisky makers, and cooperages to fill, mature and deliver some of the best whisky out there, all for the benefit of its members in Scotland and the world over.
Though the main focus remains on single cask, single malt whisky, natural curiosity takes them down many an unexpected road through experimental blended malts and an ever-changing flavour landscape. What they enjoy most is the opportunity to experiment and share with other passionate whisky fans, and whilst primarily focused on Scotch whisky, to scour the world for the best distilleries, the best cooperages and the best sherry and wine producers, all in service to their members and their adventurous nature.
