In episode 182 of The Drinking Hour, host David Kermode sits down with Anthony Peart, founder of Fr’um, a spiced rum inspired by the flavours of the Caribbean and a gold-medal winner at the IWSC.

Peart talks about his career in hospitality and arrival at the two Michelin-starred pub The Hand & Flowers, where he works as bar manager. He then explains how childhood summers in Jamaica instilled in him a desire to explore the flavours of the Caribbean through his rum.

The conversation turns to the story behind the rum’s name, the unique label and the flavour profile. Peart discusses the influence of Tom Kerridge and his importance as a mentor. Finally, the pair cover how Peart felt when he found out that Fr’um had won a gold medal at the IWSC and what the future holds for the brand.
