The 67 Pall Mall 10th Anniversary Special Edition Calendar

The team at 67 Pall Mall has given its advent calendars a spruce up for 2025, opting for a more refined and compact style of packaging (in previous years, the box was designed to resemble a mini version of the club in Mayfair). The change also includes upping December’s daily dose of wine from 75ml to 100ml for ‘an added measure of festive spirit’. This year, as well as the usual Bordeaux and Burgundy editions created by Jane Anson and Jasper Morris MW, there’s a special anniversary calendar featuring selections from past and present team members to honour a decade of the club. Once the contents of the day’s bottle have been poured, a QR code on the label can be scanned, taking drinkers to a video presented by a member of the club’s team giving more background on the wine. The wines included are kept a surprise but the calendars have previously featured the likes of 2004 Château Mouton Rothschild, Klein Constantia’s Vin de Constance and Brandini’s Barolo Annunziata from the superb 2016 vintage, so expect a month of fine drinking. Unlike access to the club itself, you don’t need to be a member to buy the calendar (though members do get a special price).

67 Pall Mall, Members £570, non-members £599. Orders must be placed by 11 November.

Old and rare whisky advent calendar

Old and Rare Whisky Advent Calendar

This luxurious whisky advent calendar contains 24 wax-sealed 30ml bottles of old and rare liquid, including drams from Balvenie, Dalmore, Glenfarclas, Old Pulteney and Tomatin. A Glencairn tasting glass comes with the calendar to ensure the recipient of the calendar has the correct equipment to tackle a month of special whisky. This is undoubtedly one of the more expensive alcohol advent calendars available but considering the contents, it constitutes a rare opportunity to experience a large selection of top-quality whiskies without buying any of the individual bottles.

Tequila advent calendar

The Greatest Tequila & Mezcal Advent Calendar

This a great choice for those who’ve recently caught the Tequila bug or developed a love of smokier mezcal. There are 24 bottles containing 30ml tasters of a diverse range of Tequilas and mezcals to enjoy in the run up to Christmas. What’s more, the calendar contains tasting glasses and a booklet with tasting notes to accompany each day. There are also QR codes provided for a ‘full digital tasting experience’ should you want one.
