Waitrose is justly proud of its expanding No.1 range of premium wines and this is a well priced, textbook Riesling from the rolling hills of Rheinhessen and a highly respected producer, Robert Weil. A relatively tight nose of nectarine and lemon zest leads into a bright, focused mid-palate wash of peach and pineapple, with a delicious saline undertow. A steely, dry wine with naturally low alcohol (11.5%) to pair with a prawn cocktail for a retro supper.
