There was a time when Cloudy Bay Sauvignon would cause a stampede as supplies reached the shelves. Perhaps we have moved on but it remains a fantastic wine, showcasing the Marlborough fruit that caused a sensation when it first hit the market in the late ’80s. Now owned by the mighty Möet Hennessy group, there’s a very different verve here, with passionfruit, blackcurrant leaf, nectarine and pink grapefruit balanced by zesty lime. A complex feast to pair with Thai green curry.
