Pol Roger is famous for its vintage cuvée, which is always well built and structured, full of Pinot Noir power. 2013 is the cool and late October harvest’s interpretation of it, showing a pronounced yet, for the timebeing, reserved nose. With delicious Pinot fruit of cranberries, wild strawberries, marshmallow and red apple, there is lovely intensity and fine focus to the mouth-wateringly succulent and pristinely fruity palate. Highly youthful still, but slowly maturing towards further expression.
