It may be the entry-level offering from the Château Léoube stable but it’s a class act nonetheless. A so-called ‘negoçiant’ wine (meaning the fruit is purchased from local growers), this cuvée has improved with each new vintage, looking – and, more importantly, tasting – like a premium wine. A blend of five grape varieties, there’s crunchy cranberry acidity, red cherries, strawberries and cream, complemented by succulent nuances of ripe peach.
