Spanish Monastrell can deliver some wonderfully powerhouse reds but this rosado shows what it can do in a pink guise. Delicate and restrained on the nose with an underlying herbal and assorted red-berry fruit character. Structured on the palate with a good definition of flavour, balanced with crisp acidity and climaxing with a light strawberry-flavoured finish. Half the price of a Provence example and just as balanced and tasty, if not more so.
