Rémy Martin’s top bottling, Louis XIII is made from a selection of up to 1,200 of the house’s oldest and rarest Cognacs. First created by Paul Emile Rémy Martin in 1874, today’s blend spans 100 years of eaux de vie. The result is a masterpiece in blending that is at once rich and oily, yet subtle and lithe. It is a heavyweight that dances around like a ballet dancer, mixing old oak notes with light floral tones. The aroma is vibrant and bright, while the palate shows old books, leather and a hint of pipe tobacco. The finish is long, smooth and fruity, with just a touch of spice.
