Red wine

Tenuta San Guido, Sassicaia 1968

RRP £1,500

No contest! The first commercial vintage of this unique wine and love at first sight. The ‘Claret’ nose draws us in, but the tremendous sweetness, charm, beauty and purity are all its own, maybe, appropriately, with a touch of Lafite elegance? A bewitching landmark of wine history and enchantment to drink. Too nostalgic for me to give a banal score!
