Red wine
Dunn Vineyards, Cabernet Sauvignon 1987
RRP £292
Really intense secondary flavours on the nose, bright and dense. The palate is juicy with aromas of dark cherry, leather and cedar wood. There’s some green here and the fruit has leanness which will only become more pronounced as the years go on. It opens nicely in the glass though, it’s light and spicy, clearly a mountain wine. There’s nothing to disagree with here: it’s a well-made, straightforward, confident wine.
