Forget nouveau, this is Gamay de terroir if you like from Alain Coudert, deep ruby in colour, its smoky cherry-like aromas and dark cherry fruitiness a far cry from lollipop and much more the traditional Beaujolais cru that it is (it was formerly in Moulin-à-Vent), with a structure of both grip and freshness promising further development over the next two to five years.
