One of two Pinotage wines on show, this version offered a polished, modern take on the variety. Ripe red berry fruit meets subtle mocha and smoke, with soft tannins and a generous mid-palate. There’s none of the rusticity or overpowering coffee character that can sometimes overwhelm this grape. Instead, it’s a juicy, balanced red with enough personality to keep things interesting. A great introduction to Pinotage for the curious, and excellent with barbecue or sticky ribs.
