An impressive debut for this disease-resistant hybrid variety (technically known as a PiWi, an abbreviation of the German term ‘Pilzwiderstandsfähige Reben’), made by Les Grands Chais de France.  There’s a hint of gooseberry to the nose, crunchy green apple and bags of citrus.  It’s well balanced, fresh and fruity.
