Emiliano Falsini, Feudo Pignatore Sciauro Rosato 2022

Nerello Mascalese from Contrada Feudo Pignatore, on the northern slope of Etna (at 700m above sea level), makes up this rosé. Direct pressing maintains a very pale coral colour and spontaneous fermentation in old casks enhances the texture of the wine to give weight to the mid-palate. Only three months in oak and ageing in inert vessels gives additional smoky complexity. The wine is sold in dark-coloured bottles and shows all the vivid precision typical of the vintage, with long potential for ageing of around six to seven years.
