Caroline Metcalfe works on a range of editorial and commercial projects as Director of Caroline Metcalfe Consulting. She researches, commissions and produces photography for a range of luxury lifestyle magazines – including Club Oenologique, 1843 Magazine, and COMO Stories – in her role as consulting Director of Photography.

From its launch in 1997 until 2014, she was Director of Photography at Conde Nast Traveller, during which time the magazine won countless awards for its distinctive photography. Prior to working on glossy monthly titles, she worked on national newspaper magazines including The Financial Times, The Observer and The Independent Saturday Magazine.

She has also worked as producer, researcher and rights coordinator on several coffee table photography books, as photographic producer with a range of high end luxury lifestyle commercial clients – including COMO Hotels and Resorts, Ritz Carlton, and Boodles  – and on several high profile advertising campaigns. She judges several prestigious photographic competitions, including the IPA, Sony World Photography, and TPOTY. She also runs photography workshops.
