Lily of the valley, hints of oak on the nose. Some notes of fresh red cherries and pine. Fresh hay, and fresh prunes, as well as cinnamon doughnut. The palate gives poached pears and maple syrup, with a hint of star anise; some pink peppercorns, too. The finish is long and lingering, with the peppery heat slowly fading to reveal a final flourish of dark cocoa bitterness.
