With a new year and with the excesses of Christmas behind us, thoughts might be turning to cutting back on the booze. In this instalment of The Drinking Hour podcast, host David Kermode explores Dry January and the fast-changing world of alcohol-free. With the low- and no-alcohol market now booming, Kermode is joined by Carl Anthony Brown and Tim Blake, two of the co-founders of Crossip, an ‘unapologetically bold’ range of non-alcoholic natural spirits.

The drink is used to add depth of flavour to cocktails in lieu of alcoholic spirits, and the pair discuss the drink’s conception, how it’s made and how it can be used to build a complex cocktail – as well as the revolution that’s taken place in the world of non-alcoholic drinks. The pair of ‘restless innovators’ also share details on their sponsorship of the IWSC’s forthcoming Emerging Talent in Bartending award.
