2012 is the second and best yet vintage of the newly recreated cuvée La Grande Dame. Its soul rests on Pinot Noir of the greatest finesse, refreshed by a mere splash of Chardonnay. Soft yet coolly fruity on the layered nose of lemon confit, apricot, vanilla, refined smoke and buttery pastry notes. The balance is impeccable with invigorating tension and stylish salinity. Much more driven, tight-packed and fine that we are used to expect from this cuvée.
