White wine
Seresin, Chiaroscuro 2013
RRP £28.99
Literally meaning ‘light-dark’ in Italian, chiaroscuro is a technique used to dramatic effect in the works of Leonardo da Vinci and Caravaggio. Seresin has adopted the lighting term for this unusual co-fermented cuvée that brings together Pinot Gris, Riesling and Chardonnay. The blend creates an expressive, vivid and harmonious white; floral notes combine with spice on the richly textured palate. The finish is long and intense. Only 750 bottles were produced, so get in quick.
