A new addition to the Tesco range from a Champagne house with a reputation for elegance. Perrier Jouët is synonymous with Chardonnay but the variety plays a supporting role in this classy cuvée, which majors on Pinot Noir and Meunier. It has cellar master Séverine Frerson’s signature gentle touch, with delicate floral notes, plump grapefruit, ripe apricot and buttered croissant, balanced by a cool flinty streak of acidity and an ethereal citrus finish that would pair well with lobster tail.
