Grande Siècle, Laurent-Perrier’s prestige cuvée, has only been released 26 times since its debut in 1959. Always a blend of three vintages, this latest ‘itération’ combines the renowned 2012 (65%), 2008 (25%) and 2007 (10%), and hails from a total of eight different Grand Cru vineyards. After a minimum of ten years’ aging on fine lees, this complex and exuberant wine has all the hallmarks of a great vintage Champagne: the nose sings of toasty brioche, hazelnut and zesty lemon, while the rich yet elegant palate is supported by a finely textured mousse.
