A dry year and then a February heatwave; some Riesling grapes were lost to sunburn. This wine – the first after the Barry family had bought back from Lindeman’s the right to call their wine Florita – is nonetheless racy and elegant, with beautiful balance and lovely length. Not the fullest of these wines, by any means: a wallflower that repays attention.
