The third bottle Sam opened of very few remaining in the family, and he still wasn’t entirely happy with it. It certainly had that slightly Marmite scent and taste of old wine; just a memory of fruit and wood remains. Still, in the glass it opens out with flavours of honey, muffled by a savoury top note. A historical rather than gastronomic treat.
