Grüner once looked set to conquer the world but it seemed to stall, so it’s great to find this in the range, stocked in more than 500 stores. Produced by a respective co-operative winery, from one of Austria’s most revered regions, there’s subtle lemon and white pepper on the nose, while the palate offers silky, light citrus freshness with a hint of greengage. A good lunchtime wine, best served with Wiener schnitzel.
