And wouldn’t you know it, it’s Jean-Claude Mas again, this time with a white grape that’s not that well known but deserves greater acclaim: Grenache Blanc. A pithy citrus nose leads into juicy nectarine and peach, with a lovely, slightly mealy texture, presumably from working with the lees (there’s no oak). A good value, rounded wine to pair with garlic grilled prawns.
