White Bordeaux is often underrated or, worse, just ignored, and it’s a shame because the region offers a winning combination of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon, with the former bringing its signature freshness and the latter adding textural complexity. There’s bags of both in this sophisticated wine from a well regarded producer, with dewy grass, pithy white grapefruit, a hint of tropical richness and creamy, nutty texture. Pair this with a hearty fish pie.
