Sparkling wine
Benoît Déhu, La Rue des Noyers, Brut Nature NV
RRP £70
An eighth-generation vine grower, Benoît Déhu runs his family’s house of Déhu Père & Fils and has also produced Champagnes under his own label since 2011. La Rue des Noyers is a pure Meunier from a biodynamically farmed vineyard of the same name in Fossoy, in the Vallée de la Marne, fermented and aged in oak barrels. The current release is based on 2014, and it’s broad and ample in feel, combining a generous demeanour with nuanced layers of flavour.
