Aldi, Unearthed Beira Interior 2023

Following in the footsteps of M&S with its ‘Found’ range, Aldi offers ‘Unearthed’ to tempt us into trying some of the world’s lesser-known grapes. Boasting an attractive floral nose, this unusual, slightly off-dry blend of four Portuguese varieties – Roupeiro, Fonte Cal, Malvasia and Arinto – offers peaches and cream and ripe honeydew melon, balanced by a gentle yellow apple acidity. Just 10.5% alcohol, it’s a good option for an afternoon tipple in the winter sunshine.
