Costières de Nîmes has long been known as a source of great value Rhône reds but it is much less common to find whites from this region on UK shelves. Combining the classic white varietals of the southern Rhône (Grenache Blanc, Vermentino and Roussanne), there’s plenty to enjoy in this new addition to the Specially Selected range. Pretty notes of peach and ripe conference pears are supported by whistle-clean acidity that brings a crunchy texture and a welcome authenticity. Try with a Caesar salad or a roasted vegetable quiche but do beware the very heavy glass bottle.
