Made from a specially planted 0.43ha plot of Pinot Noir in the clay-rich Charmont lieu-dit in Mareuil-sur-Ay and vinified with some whole bunch in the mix, this Coteaux Champenois still wine has lifted notes of violet, sloe and cherry and a suede-like tannin nurtured by ageing in a mix of oak and amphorae.
