Gleann Mor, Tomatin 1983 35 Year Old
RRP £300
Founded in 1897, Tomatin until recently was mostly known as a whisky made for blends. Owned by the Takara Shuzo group, they now have several distillery expressions, and can sometimes be found as in this case as independent bottles. With confected fruit and candied citrus peel and crystalline sugar the nose is appealing, the palate is fruity and rich, and with a little water savoury notes come through and is oily in texture.
